Nintendo Announces Updated Software Release Dates
Things have finally become a bit more clear as to what Nintendo’s upcoming software line-up will look like. Today the company has issued release date information on it’s upcoming titles in the first quarter.
Wii U:
Of note for Nintendo’s newest console is Lego City Undercover dated for March 18th. Developed by TT Fusion and published by Nintendo, it’s a sandbox style crime drama set in the Lego universe. A kid-friendly alternative to the Grand Theft Auto series, players take on the role of Chase McCain as he hunts down the evil doers of his town.
Also of note for the Wii U is Aliens: Colonial Marines still being listed as Q1, and Rayman Legends said to be released on February 26th.
3DS:
The 3DS has a few gems to look forward to in the coming months. Of note are:
- Fire Emblem Awakening (February 4th)
- Brain Age: Concentration Training (February 10th)
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (February 12th)
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate (March 5th)
- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (March 19th)
- Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (March 24th)
- Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon (March 24th)
- Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins (April 21st)
Via the Nintendo eShop for the 3DS, Capcom is releasing Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3Dsometime in Q1. Also, players can download demos of the new Fire Emblem and Brain Age games on January 17th and January 24th respectivly.
Perhaps most exciting (to me at least) is that Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is about two months away. Nintendo has deprived us of the sequel to Luigi’s GameCube launch title for entirely too long. But who cares what I think? Tell us below which titles you are excited for. And keep checking Only Single Player for updates on all of Nintendo’s upcoming titles.
