Adobe Photoshop Touch for iPhone & Android Information and Review

Adobe Photoshop Touch for iPhone & Android Information and Review

After almost a year of waiting for a real image editing application from Adobe, they have finally released Photoshop Touch for the iPhone and iPad. Users had a taste of this with Adobe’s Photoshop Express but that left users fairly disappointed and with popular apps such as Instagram, Photoshop Express would never really become popular.
This app feels more like the Photoshop we have come to know over the years, here are some of the main features.
Introducing layers: Every Photoshop user knows about these but you can now use them on the go!
More tools: There are now brush, eraser and text tools so you can edit your image.
Filters: Yes these premade filters are also included but only give so many effects.
Camera integration: Work straight from your camera for instant results.
Creative Cloud integration: Sync up with your creative cloud to work between devices.
Here is a screenshot of Photoshop Touch in action.

These features are great over all this is the kind of app we should have had a long time ago but it is good to see Adobe making more of an effort in the mobile app world. However there are a few draw backs from this app.
There are only a few negatives for this app and they are;
Does not support iPhone 3GS: I find this very weird. The only reason why the 3GS can not support the app is because the camera has no flash. This is the kind of thing that should be patched and supported.
Separate purchase’s: If you have a iPhone and iPad you will have to purchase the app twice!
So overall the app is very good, Adobe have made a real effort and you can see the direction in which they are taking. You can purchase the app from the App Store and on Google Play for around £3, so check it out some time.
As always let me know what you think!
